Invincible Online Divine

Chapter 2

In the morning, Zhao Gui woke up in a daze, his heavy eye bags making him look like a national treasure, a panda. He had collected experience from the God of Music yesterday evening, afterwards he kept staring at his phone, continuously worried he might miss out on a "red packet." He only managed to fall asleep when he couldn't stay awake any longer.

Glancing at his phone, the 'red packet' group chat was still quite quiet. Shaking his head, Zhao Gui suddenly noticed the pet food in the room. Seeing the food, he slowly walked over to it. This was Skyscream's pet food, packed in a piece of fine, peachwood cylinder. Slowly opening the cylinder, a pleasant aroma wafted out.

As soon as he smelled this aroma, Zhao Gui couldn't help but swallow his saliva. "Is this really dog food?" He thought as he found himself wanting to taste it. The food looked like golden soybeans - exceptionally appealing.

"I wonder what would happen if an ordinary dog ate this?"

With that thought, Zhao Gui could not control himself anymore. Quickly putting on his clothes, he left home. Not far downstairs was a pet market that was busy in the early morning. Upon reaching the market, Zhao Gui examined the puppies carefully.

Tibetan Mastiffs, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, seeing these large dogs made Zhao Gui shake his head. These large dogs ate so much, one bag of pet food would probably not last more than a few days.

"Woof, woof, woof..."

Stopping in front of a small booth, there were several small Chihuahuas inside. They looked especially beautiful.

"Boss, how much for one?"

"Five hundred..."

"Make it cheaper. Two hundred for one..."

"No, no, at least four hundred and fifty..."

After haggling, Zhao Gui spent three hundred bucks to buy a Chihuahua. Chihuahuas are small dogs that won't grow big, and they also eat less.

Taking the Chihuahua back home, the little guy was small but incredibly lively, blinking his curious eyes left and right.

"Come here, baby, let me get you something delicious to eat."

Zhao Gui took out a piece of dog food and placed it next to the chihuahua’s mouth. The little pup twitched its nose and sniffed, directly sticking out its tongue to swallow the piece of dog food into its belly.

"Woof, woof, woof…"

After eating the dog food, the little Chihuahua suddenly let out a painful howl. Immediately, all its fur stood up, as if it were electrocuted. What was even more shocking was that the little Chihuahua was visibly growing at a rapid pace.

Previously, the Chihuahua was only a few centimeters long, but astonishingly it grew to over thirty centimeters in a mere half hour, now appearing no different from a mature Chihuahua. Zhao Gui swallowed nervously, keeping his gaze fixed on the Chihuahua.

The Chihuahua was writhing on the ground in agony. After it stopped growing, its fur began to fall out, subsequently replaced by fresh new growth. The newly grown fur was pure white, devoid of any foreign tint - looking awfully adorable.

"Bark, bark, bark…"

The recovered Chihuahua raised its head. Looking at Zhao Gui, it barked. Astonishingly, there was a smidgeon of wisdom in its eyes.

"Little guy, how are you feeling?"

"Bark, bark, bark…"

"Can you understand me?"

"Bark, bark, bark…"

"Really? Nod your head?"

"Lie down…"

"Stand up…"

Zhao Gui seemed to have found a new toy. After eating the Tibetan Mastiff's dog food, the little Chihuahua became extremely intelligent and powerful. Amazingly, it could chew through two-centimeter thick planks with one bite. This is no ordinary Chihuahua, it's as formidable as a Tibetan Mastiff!

"Come on, Little Ji, have another one..."

After playing for a while, Zhao Gui took out another piece of dog food. Little Ji saw the super dog food and pounced on it, happily swallowing it. After eating, Little Ji squinted his eyes, lying on the ground. His two paws were held on his stomach as if he was really enjoying it.

"Wow, you really know how to enjoy yourself!"

Zhao Gui said enviously, and took out another piece of dog food. But this time, Little Ji just shook his head, touched his belly with his paw and barked twice.

"Full?"

Zhao Gui couldn't help but ask, and Little Ji nodded his head. This made Zhao Gui swallow hard as just two pieces of dog food had already filled up Little Ji. This box should last for a very long time then.

"Damn, I’m late..."

Zhao Gui suddenly woke up when he saw the time on his phone. He had been so excited that he forgot that he had to go to work.

"Little Ji, behave and stay at home, alright."

He quickly found a set of clothes and put them on. The clothes, that were just the right size before, now seemed a bit small but he put that aside and rushed out of the house.

After Zhao Gui left, Little Ji thought for a moment in the now empty room, then crawled to the window, squeezed it open with his paw, jumped out and followed him.

Decimal Western Restaurant, this is where Zhao Gui works, but he is just an ordinary waiter here. Zhao Gui didn’t learn much from his insignificant university life, and the result of all his effort searching finally led him here.

"Sorry, sorry, there was a traffic jam..."

Zhao Gui arrived at the restaurant, and everyone had already started cleaning. As everyone saw Zhao Gui rushing in, all of them stopped in shock.

"Huh, Zhao Gui, why do I feel like you've grown a bit taller again?"

Lin Yu couldn't help but ask, and the others also looked up at Zhao Gui.

"True, your skin seems to have gotten lighter."

"Zhao Gui, why are your trousers cropped all of a sudden?"

Everyone curiously looked at Zhao Gui, realizing something was amiss due to the crowd's chatter. His changes were too drastic to explain easily.

"Well, I might have just grown. Some time ago I consulted an old traditional Chinese doctor who said there was a prescription that could promote my growth. Maybe the effects of the medicine are showing."

Zhao Gui rubbed his head bashfully as he said this.

"Really, Zhao Gui? Introduce that doctor to me soon…"

"Yeah, Zhao Gui, don't hog such good fortune."

Everyone crowded around Zhao Gui, all talking at once. Watching this scene, a jubilant feeling rose within Zhao Gui.

"What are you doing? If you don't want to work, get out…"

A discordant voice rang out, and upon hearing it, everyone lowered their heads and resumed working, although they all grumbled under their breath.

"Hey, Zhao Gui- did you grow taller overnight? Been taking hormones, or wearing elevator shoes? Do you know what time it is? It's half past nine. Do you know how late you are? Half an hour, a whole half hour! No bonus for you this month. What are you standing around for? Play-match me? Go to work!"

Zhao Dahai, stomach protruding, looked smug. Zhao Gui glanced at Zhao Dahai, disregarding his pettiness.

"Hmph…"

Zhao Dahai, looking pleased as everyone else busied themselves. Taking advantage of his status as the manager's brother-in-law, Zhao Dahai behaved obnoxiously, feeling like he owned the place. Not evil, but the kind of person that everyone finds annoying.
